Activities

Angling

A very popular activitiy is fishing, many people come to Ballina/ Killaloe every year to fish on Lough Derg and the river Shannon.

Lough Derg is famous for its pike and trout fishing. The largest pike of Europe was caught in Lough Derg. There is also very good course angling with bream, roach, perch and rud.

Since 1999 we have had many fishermen staying in both Kincora House and Aris House. We work together with Ferdi Heijerman, a well-known fishing guide, originally from The Netherlands, who has his fishing business in Ballina, Killaloe (www.pike-ireland.net).

Therefore we are able to organise almost anything you may need for your fishing holiday including boats, tackle, bait, packed lunches and much more!

There is a storage area for your fishing tackle, wellies etc. and there is a room to dry your wet gear.

For more information on a fishing holiday please contact us or you can contact Ferdi Heijerman directly by e-mail.
